Would you like to be part of the launch team for my next book? It’s called The Curious Reader’s Field Guide to Nonfiction. It’s set to launch in October.
What’s the book about?
This one is for avid readers, nonfiction nerds, book club heroes … anyone who loves sitting with a good nonfiction book. Like a field guide, it helps you spot what’s happening as you read. But it’s more than simply a passive reference book—it’s a companion. It includes Field Notes and Observations pages for you to track what you spot in the works you read.
In short, it’s a fun exploration of reading. Oh, and it includes bonus questions that you can bring to discuss at book club meetings!
What does the launch team do?
At its most basic, I ask only that you look through an early draft and support the book with a review.
- September: Support the Kickstarter. You can buy the book from Kickstarter, or simply make a $1 donation to goose the algorithms. (If this is your first time participating in a Kickstarter, you should find it interesting.)
- October: Leave a review on Amazon. (I’ll send you an advance copy PDF to review.)
- Like, comment on, or share my social media posts/events about the book if you see them.
Of course, you’ll have the opportunity to do more if you want to or it interests you. For example:
- Offer feedback on the Kickstarter offers before it launches, or anything else I send you questions about
- Suggest creative ways to get this book in the hands of people who would enjoy it!
- Share the book or Kickstarter with your list or friends.
- Send encouraging notes. You know, in case I need them.
If you sign up, you’ll get regular emails from me detailing the book’s status and what you can be doing. I’ll hold a Launch Team meeting later in September, so we can all connect and share book recommendations!
