A professor at a Pennsylvania college contacted me recently to tell me that he was assigning The Writer’s Process for his courses on the fundamentals of college writing.
That news made this former English major very happy.
It took me years to figure out the “inner” writing processes in the book, through trial and error. If a few college students can use this to write better papers, my work here is done.
That got me thinking about reaching out to more college students.
Are there any college students in your life?
August is “packing up” time for college students everywhere. Wouldn’t it be great if a few more of those students returned to classes armed with better writing practices?
There’s research in there about the best way to plan for term papers, how to incubate rather than procrastinate, and why sleeping well helps you write better.
All of this advice comes in handy during college – and beyond.
The back-to-college sale (not just for college students)
I’ve lowered the price on the ebook version of The Writer’s Process to $1.99, from now through August 21. (It’s more complicated to put the paperback on sale – and do today’s students even read paper anymore?)
The sale price is good for all ebook editions:
You don’t have to be headed to college to take advantage of the sale. The advice applies equally well to any kind of writing.
But hurry up -because like the lazy days of summer, this sale won’t last. The price goes up August 21st.
